Closing The Sound Sanitorium

I’ve been thinking about this for the past month, turning the numbers over and over, and I’ve now made the decision: I’m closing The Sound Sanitorium for now.

The very last public sound bath will be Thursday the 27th of November at the Enchanted Studio (Miles Green Farm, GU24 9AR). Bookings stay open until an hour before – if you’ve been meaning to come one last time, there’s still space.

To everyone who ever bought a ticket, lugged a blanket along, lay on the floor and let the bowls carry you: thank you, properly. Whether there were nine of you or three (or once, just one brave soul), you showed up, you breathed with the sounds, and those evenings only existed because you were there. I’ll carry those quiet shared moments for a long time.

I’ve tried different venues, prices, days, and marketing ideas, but the bookings have kept dropping. Rather than keep pouring time and money into something that isn’t working, I’m choosing to stop now – while I still love playing the instruments and while the memories are good ones.

So after Thursday the 27th of November, the regular sound baths will end, the booking page will close, and The Sound Sanitorium at The Enchanted Studio will quietly finish.

If we bump into each other again one day, lovely. If not, I wish you all good things.
